Mail on your domain
If your domain is with us, we can set the DNS up automatically for Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. Using another provider? We show you which records to add.
We do not sell mail. This is about making your mail provider's setup work on your domain — the mailbox you buy from them.
How the automatic setup works
Microsoft and Google can ask your DNS provider for permission to add the records themselves. We are such a provider, so you do not have to copy anything.
- Start setting your domain up at Microsoft or Google.
- When they ask where the domain is hosted: pick Afklaret.
- We show you exactly which records would be created or changed — and you approve before we touch anything.
- Go back to the provider and press verify. The last step is theirs.
This requires the domain to be on Afklaret's nameservers. If it is not, you can still add the records yourself.

Another provider
Automatic setup exists for Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace so far. Every other provider works fine — you just add the records yourself, and these are the three that matter.

MX
Where your mail is delivered. It points at your provider's mail servers.

TXT
SPF: who may send mail as your domain. If you already have one, your new provider must be added to it — not replace it.

CNAME
DKIM: the keys that sign your outgoing mail, so recipients can tell it is genuine.
The values themselves come from your provider — they differ from customer to customer, so we do not write them here. Add them on the domain's DNS page and we will tell you if anything collides with what you already have.
